Effective Feb. 8, the four pediatricians at Penobscot Bay Medical Center will be joining their practices in the same office in Rockport.

Pen Bay Pediatrics will include Dr. Susan McKinley, Dr. William Stephenson, Dr. Sam Lew and Dr. Kevin Strong as well as Rachel Rivard, pediatric nurse practitioner, at offices in the Ledgewood Professional Park, 7 Madelyn Drive, off Route 1, a mile north of Penobscot Bay Medical Center.

Pen Bay Pediatrics is online at pbmc.org/pediatrics. The practice phone number – for all four doctors – is 593-5600. Pen Bay Pediatrics serves newborns, infants, children and adolescents.

"Pen Bay Pediatrics is dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of the children and adolescents in our community in a patient- and family-centered model of medical care," said Dr. Dana Goldsmith, a pediatrician and vice president of medical affairs for PBMC. "There are many benefits of this "medical home" concept for our patients and their families. For example, our new practice will provide greater access to needed services through same-day extended hours, and will have a focus on the coordination of care for children and youth with special healthcare needs."

Dr. Susan McKinley, who has practiced for 19 years at her current location in Rockport, says she is "really excited" about the new Pen Bay Pediatrics.

"This is an opportunity to provide a new range of services for our patients that none of us could provide as solo practitioners," she said.
